Good Friends / Let’s Do Lunch

Description:  One negotiator makes a friendly offer to continue the conversation over lunch, coffee, or drinks at a convenient restaurant.

A seemingly innocent offer to buy you lunch.  Can be completely harmless, or it can be an attempt to  get you off guard and make you say or do things you wouldn’t if you were in your own office.

Intent: Get information or advantageous terms.

Style:  Collaborative, Compromising or Accommodative

Counter: Company policy doesn’t permit it.  I don’t eat lunch.
